Waiting is a sculptural work made after the Lismore floods of 2022. It is made from found objects destined to be thrown out after the city began to rebuild. Lismore is in a period of waiting, waiting for supplies, waiting for funding, waiting for help, waiting for the government and waiting to go back home again. This work represents the rawness and roughness that is experienced in the town, yet it shows strength and solidarity of a community rebuilding.
